Activating Boost
Open Studio on your laptop.
Plug the USB-C cable into your laptop and the roaster.
Turn the roaster on.
In Studio, click on Help > Activate features.
In the pop-up window enter the code that is on the back of your Boost activation card and click activate.
The Status will change from ‘inactive’ to ‘active’. If it does not then please contact customer support.
Getting the best results with Boost
When you try to start a roast after activating Boost, you will now see that the roaster will ask you for a load size. We recommend selecting the same load size as the amount that you dosed into the roaster. So if you want to roast 150g of green coffee, select 150g load size.
We do recommend also starting no higher than 150g as some coffees respond well in the chamber, and some don’t. If you roast a batch at 150g and it tracks and tastes good, then increase your batch and load size until you reach your ideal batch size.
It is important to remember that with there being so many different coffees in the world you may find that that you will need to sometimes select a different fan speed, for more details around this you can visit this article on https://kaffelogic.atlassian.net/servicedesk/customer/portal/1/article/11632867
To return to “Standard batch size” or pre-boost roasting, just select 120g as the load size.
