Extract profile from log
The core profiles on the Kaffelogic are intended to be general profiles that have been developed from roasting many different coffees on them. Sometimes the expected first crack and other data won’t line up with the coffee that you are roasting. If you are wanting to extract this data and apply it to a new profile then this feature allows you to just that.
Extract profile from log will take the data from your log file and apply it to the profile that you were roasting on. It will create a copy of the starting profile that you roasted on, as well as giving you the option to carry over the new data such as colour change, first crack temperature and the logged level. You can also have it as a background to compare against the log.
Open Studio and open up a log that you would like to extract a profile from. Then click on ‘File’ at the top left corner then ‘Extract profile from log’. You can also use the shortcut ‘Crtl+R’
Â
A small window will pop up. This window will allow you to carry across changes to info from the log into the new profile, just click on the little arrow to carry over the new data from the log into the new profile.
Â
You can then go into the ‘About this file’ tab and change the Profile name, short name and description. The profile short name is what will display on your roasters screen when selecting the profile.
